I just wanted to link this car I've noticed and say I want it :D ...please stop me from going out and buying it and then consequently bankrupting myself trying to keep it running :D ...I mean my E39 isn't working right yet so that would be a really stupid thing to do right ?

But what a beautiful example of the E32 V12 ...it looks and sounds from the advert absolutely lovely.

i also want an E34 540i in ultraviolet with a 6 speed manual box and throwing star alloys, and an E31 850i ....ahem.

Link is screwed.

But if its what I'm think off, silent assassin cruiser mobile springs to mind!

Tint the windows, add Alpina multi spoke alloys=WIN

No, no, no! ...no tints, no gangstaing of this iconic and beautiful car, £4.5k is a lot for an E32 yes, but for one that's utterly immaculate has 66k miles on the clock, has had a full service with all the fluids changed, had all of it's self levelling suspension airbags replaced and ...and had a total respray by BMW in 2001 and has absolutely no rust ...it's not a lot really. £4.5k and you get a V12 luxury saloon car, that's 300bhp and about 350lbs/ft of torque if I remember correctly, not that speed is the point of this machine.

I love it anyway.

I just keep looking at that add, have been since I saw it yesterday thinking how much I would like that car, thing is I'd have to leave one on the road then. No it's a stupid idea! ...fix the E39 before taking on any other ...projects.

unless it comes with a gold bar (or Cheryl Cole) in the boot there is no way i would payt anywhere near that much. Still looks like 1500quids worth of motor tops

I'm not going to buy it, so no worries there. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's worth a lot more than £1500, no way does it 'look' like £1500 worth of car, it's an apparently damn near concourse V12 luxury saloon car ...albeit an old one.

Maybe it is just me, as I really, really like the older larger BMW's, I'm a big fan of the E31, E32 and the E34 ...as well of course of the E38 and E39. I also like a lot of the older Mercedes, the W124, W140, R129 etc. I find a lot of the newer ones, while great ...are missing something the older ones had.

Oh come on, I at least thought you would appreciate this.

I would agree with you if it needed a ton of stuff doing and had 150k+ on the clock and had worn seats, steering wheel and suspension and some body rust. Then I would say yea, £500-£600 is probably all it's worth.

Yes please.

But I would avoid that buyer purely for :
''Test drives are available by appointment - drivers under 25 years of age are please requested to provide evidence of fully comprehensive insurance cover. Driving licences to be presented upon request.''

Not customer friendly then you wouldn't get my money. I know why they do it but if someone, regardless who it is, starts discriminating me because of my age or whatever, then I just walk away and go somewhere where they treat me equally.

Reminds me of past week, I was in the Burger king drive with my bike and a couple of mates, at the window they said cars go first ( even thought we waited 15 mins in line. restaurant was closed), I told them to go **** themselves and I'll never buy a thing at them any more and went to maccy d instead, at least there they treat cars and bikes the same.

He's selling a rare car, he doesn't need to deal with people like you who don't have comprehensive insurance to cover the car. What he has requested is perfectly reasonable. He's not there to offer fantastic customer service, he is there to sell a rare example of a 21 year old car.

He isn't discriminating against you based on age, he probably just knows that many under 25's either drive like morons (Hi snowdog) or cannot get the required insurance anyway.

Discrimination ...eh ? ...apparently you're reading into that far more than I am ...those stipulations aren't entirely out of the ordinary for traders selling cars of this type ...I am over 25 anyway so I don't really care :p

I found this E32 735i on AT for £1k ...which does make the other 2 look rather expensive, then again this is a l6 and I think I can see some rust on drivers side front wheel arch on this one.

Isn't it more likely that his trade poilcy only covers drivers over 24 for test drives therefore he wants to ensure that the car is fully covered in case of any damage rather than any percived discrimination against young people.

As for the car it looks lovely though I'd prefer an E34 5 series myself.
