Well it could do you some good to get some shut eye (says the one on nights atm :P). More to the point why did you stay up so late to start off with. It doesnt show well to customers or your boss, even if your job is very basic. Not a good habbit to get into.

It will make you feel worse.

Going to sleep and getting up so soon will just make you tired and you wont be motivated to work.

you might have been better off calling in sick. There is no excuse for allowing yourself 2 hours sleep before work.. Unless it's a crisis.

I would go to sleep every little helps, it might be a bit worse for the first hour or so but 5 hours down the line it will be better. At least you have coffee on tap.

Please elaborate how this isn't "work".

You're "work" isn't ...really work.

Wow, get you Mr Elitist. It's probably more 'work' than you or I did this week. Working in retail on a busy day, despite being far beneath you, is actually pretty hard work. You are stood up most of the day, serving people almost relentlessly.

I don't do it anymore, I now have a 'proper' job I'm sure you would approve of and I'm sure you'd consider 'work' but I've yet to have a days work where its been 'harder' work than a frantic day in a retail environment.

the two main jobs I've had are retail and software testing, the testing job was hugely mentally exhausting, but retail is so much more physically demanding, and having to deal with the general public is a task in itself :p

well i opted for sleep, i have my vitamin water and prop plus at the ready :D

what i do IS 'work', i work in one of the best coffee shops in the NW and beleive it or not it's very demanding being stood up all day 5 days a week serving customers and doing all sorts of other stuff.

i don't like coffee :p

Depends what you're like, I usually find 2 hours isn't worth it. You might get a little REM sleep but you'll more than likely wake up worse for wear, massive headache. You have a small risk of hallucination staying up all night, if you're working at full blast, I do when i'm shifting a lot of dirt or something.

You learn from experience, staying up all night when you've got work the next day is horrifying

Christ bit extreme!

Stay awake always. I was up for over 24 hours a few days ago and the best thing to do is keep on going. :)
