Nzxt case fans shattering?

not really sure where to go from this, dosnt seem like anyones fault other than nzxt.. i bought the case about 2 months ago, and it has been perfect, (nzxt m59 window case)

one of the standard fans (the one at the rear of the case) none led. today, of all days, decides to shatter. luckily it didnt do any damage. and i was able to hit the power switch at the wall and disconnect it. where do i go about getting a replacement? is it even coverd? this thing is sharp.. couldav killed me -.-

OKAY so it wouldnt kill me. but it SHOULDNT do that, can i get a replacement through ocuk, or do i have to go to nzxt?


has this ever happned to anyone before?

i think in the future i will be buying fan guards for ALL the fans, so if it ever does happen again the piece that flies off wont fly around inside the case.



just to point out, nothing went into the fan, to cause it to shatter. but where do i stand? :/
 
An email to Nzxt should sort it out. My case came missing some screws and I emailed them. They sent new ones the next week-free

That's not bad customer service.

I've also got an M59, and no problems here, though I do seem to remember reading an NZXT case review where the fans were broken from the box or similar - just hairline cracks. I reckon that a crack like this may have caused the breakage with your case - it'd be worth a look.
 
yea, i didnt really look over the fans (were already fitted) but from now on i am going to be checking EVERYTHING, under a light to be sure it looks visualy perfect, i also have a few fan grills on order so if it did happen again it wont fly around the case :D
