I have recently read "The Road" and enjoyed it no end can you recommend anything in a similar vein?

Lucifer’s Hammer, On The Beach, Earth Abides and Alas Babylon to name a few Post-Apocalyptic books you could try the postman as well as the book is a hell of a lot better than the movie
