I'm sure this was said before by others but I didn't pay much attention to it myself, I upgraded to watercooling before christmas and today took it apart and inspected things as the max CPU temp had steadily risen a little.
My EK5870 waterblock wasn't too bad just a few specs of red bits floating around but my Heatkiller3 was a different story, the fine copper mesh and the silver grill thing at the bottom which presumably are the most important parts of the block were pretty solidly gunked.
The Feser I had used was UV Red I am now on distilled water which leads me onto a question... what additive do I need for distilled water is a silver coil enough?
