Hi,

We have only had our cat for about 4 months so not entirely sure what is best to do. When we first got him he was dewormed but that's it.

As it's getting warmer now he has started to go out a lot more so worried he'll get worms, what is best / reccomended to get and where from ?

Should I just pop into pets at home and pick up one from there ?

Thanks,

The vet your cat is registered with (and I hope he is registered with a vet) will be able to advise/prescribe.

Had our cat 11 years, he's never had worms, and he eats a lot of wild birds, mice, frogs, rabbits, slow worms and whatever he can hunt down and kill.
Proper cat, not one of these softy lap cats, you have to earn his affection or he'll bite your hand off.

Wouldn't worry to much about it mate.

Lift up his tail, purse your lips about his little cat starfish, ten suck as hard as you can. ta da no worms.

Why do you think your cat has worms??? I grew up with cats , not literally, and none of them ever had wormz, id consult the vet to see if its even needed??

Drontal is about the only wormer that does all types of worm. One tablet (depending on the weight of the cat) does the job. You can buy it online, or at good pet shops (ones that have someone there authorised to sell it). Online will be much cheaper generally. No prescription needed.

Kittens need worming about every 3 months, adults about every 6 months unless they're prolific hunters.
