Most prejudice area in Britian?

I dont think EDl protests are a very good indication of how prejudiced a place is. They are mostly made up of football hooligans spoiling for trouble and they come from all around the country to these meetings.

We had EDL, BNP, etc, turn up to protest a couple of months ago, along with the socialist workers party and suchlike. It was a nightmare for the police trying to keep them all apart and many businesses in the city centre just closed for the afternoon.

EDL et alia were bussed in from all over the place and started getting ****ed up in the morning. They were attacking anyone available, including those from other right-wing groups. As you say, they're spoiling for trouble. They're more semi-organised violent criminal groups than anything to do with politics, like football hooligans who don't really have any connection to football.

As for the most prejudiced, Stoke is pretty bad I think and a BNP hotspot.

It is, but even here it's not that bad in general. It's mainly a factor of how large the underclass is, and Stoke does have a relatively large underclass.

In case anyone is wondering, I am saying that money and education are big factors and I am not saying it's a working class thing. I said underclass, not working class.

lol at those saying Glasgow isn't. Religion and football anyone?

Exactly, I'm not talking about visiting Glasgow I'm talking about living here. Try living in a poor area of Glasgow when you're English (I'm not - the wife is), or try belonging to the wrong religion or football team in the wrong area of town. You'll quickly learn what pain is.

The Merchant City area is great, I can't fault it for simply being how the rest of Glasgow is - hell I'm just in from a night out with friends celebrating my wife's birthday, but the rest of the city, especially the east end is an utterly terrifying place to live in if you haven't done so since birth. The council and the police couldn't care less.

Tbh,,, maybe ur right,,, maybe ur wrong,,, but Glasga is better than some of the ********* i've visited down south,,,

an I believe the people do care,,, maybe not all of them,,, but do you seriously think they want to be there lol ??

No swearing.

So i was just reading on the most prejudice area in the US, the answers were often Maine, Alabama and West Virginia and surprisingly California how about Britain? For Scotland i would go with Aberdeen/Highlands - rednecks...

You're kidding, right?

Certainly not the highlands. You get racist ********* everywhere, but Aberdeen = Glasgow = Edinburgh from what I've seen, and I've lived in all of them for a long enough.

Stoke/Burnley probably.

And to that video: E-E-EDL, E-E-EDL :p (sarcasm mode on)

Actually, I could not believe the absolute nonsense that trout was spouting

Nowadays it's just football rivalry and nothing more, religion doesn't come into it really. - Though, I do live near a well known Rangers pub in the East End (Celtic territory) and opposite the pub there are stickers saying - "P&O: The Famine is Over, Go Home!".

I'm English, and I sound it, and I live in the East End... I'm not religious and nor do I support Celtic or Rangers. I drink in the pubs in the East End and have had no problems whatsoever. The only ever problem I've had in Glasgow has had absolutely nothing to do with prejudice (unless you count junkies hating 'nonjunkies') - this can not be said for Aberdeen.
Glasgow is a fantastic city and is rare in the fact that a lot of the problems are kept out of the city centre and away in the schemes.
The East End isn't terrifying in the slightest, get over yourself. I regularly walk about in it at night time (yes, I don't go into the estates, but why would you?) and I'm not bothered by the locals. Even if I am, I will speak to them and consequently not had a problem.
