PS3, back to a 360 ?

Hello,

I had a Xbox 360 since lauch which i sold in summer 2008 and went without a console for a good year and picked up a PS3 Slim 120Gb in september 09. Had the PS3 for 7 months now and its been good, love the blueray and its seen me though my MW2 addiction

However now all my mates are jumping on the 360 wagon (about time lol) and i am missing out on some good laughs in bad company 2 with them. I hardly have any friends on PS3 because i dont no anyone that owns one

I am really tempted to pick up a Xbox 360 now all my mates have one.

I can get a Xbox Elite for £200 with 2 games one being bad company 2.

Not sure weather to keep the PS3, but will it just gather dust next to my 360.

So my question is whats the going rate for a PS3 Slim 120Gb ???

Question is, why sell it if you like the games on it? If you want Uncharted, GoW, GT5, and all the other exclusives, keep it. If not, sell it.

As for getting PS3 friends, tons of OCUK'ers would be happy to game with you if you want, I understand they're a good bunch. I'm not much of an online gamer myself recently though.

i have PS3, i went from the 360 to PS3 and wouldnt think about going back
the 360 to me got boring after a while and not that many great games and with the RROD - should be fixed by now (at least i would hope) i got my ps3 and love it, i just wish i could have kept my 60gb version

as i had to sell that when i went to uni but after i left got another one but only a 40gb version this time

I sold my ps3 at xmas, same reasons as you have said. I bought an xbox last month and gaming with my mates is fun but now I'm thinking the PS£ has the better exclusives already released and due for being released this year. Basically I'm thinking about buying another ps3... the xbox doesn't seem to have any exclusives? Playing through Halo 3 and it's basically an boring, the shield makes my character pretty much immortal and it just seems like I run down a corridor to kill things.

If Blu-ray is a nice plus for you then why would you consider selling the PS3? Is there no way you can try to stump up the cash so you can keep both? I use my 360 more than my PS3 but I know I'd regret selling my PS3 if I ever did (and I don't care about Blu-ray myself).

Thanks for the replies lads.

Think i am going to just buy a 360 and keep the PS3.

Found out i can get £185 trade in value for the PS3 Slim, which is good.

But like you said there are good games out for both and the blueray is a plus.

So £200 for a elite and bad company 2 and i think it was forza 3 sounds good to me.

Well just got back from the shops and a supermarket has a xbox 360 elite for £159 !!! :eek:

The other deal was £175 for elite and 1 game from the top 25.

However battle filed 2 has been withdrawn because of a problem with the age rating :confused:

which is alittle annoying.

Think i might just pick up the £175 deal and get another game, not sure what though. The i could trade that for BF 2.

If you think you can sell the game for £16 or more then it'd be okay since you'd get the money back you spent on it but if not go for the cheaper one. Since your friends are all on 360 I say just go for it but it depends on if you prefer single player or multiplayer (since if you prefer single player stick with PS3 since it's got the games you prefer but if mutliplayer then you'll have more fun with your friends).
