Im considering a pro account on flickr or photobucket to drop all my photos on to.

Used for backing up + sharing with others + hosting for posting on forums etc.

Simple question, which do people rate as the best and why?

Cheers.

I use Zenfolio (click my sig) and can't fault it, it really is excellent! Mine has only been up a matter of days so am yet to do much to it, but it's very versatile. Worth a look.

I also use photobucket, but only to dump stuff on temporarily. I will set up an invisible album on Zenfolio and exclusively use that I think.

Out of the two above, I prefer photobucket for hosting/forum posting, but flickr for showcasing photos.

This tbh, though I rarely use flickr and upload pics to my site now though i have generally used photobucket in the past as just a mass storage or random pics/sig pics etc

I have a Flickr pro account that comes free with BT broadband and use that do dump up any photos I want to display online, then use my site for to showcase the best.

I also have a Flickr Pro account - Unlimited Storage, access to your original files, view stats on your account, join various groups with people who share your interests/hobbies, easy to use interface, the choice of making your images public or private or available to only selected contacts. These are just some of the features of flickr and i personally think the small fee for a pro account is money well spent. ;)

I have a Flickr Pro and loving it. I personally use Flickr for my display photography whilst photobucket is for me to upload random crap generally suitable for GD's Random Images thread.
