Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

There seems to be a lot less high level players on the PS3 since the latest update which disabled the use of Linux due to security reasons lol. Maybe they were cheating somehow?

I struggle to find games on the PS3 period, hence why I hardly play on there. When I do though, I send invites to anyone I see on my friends list playing...

I wonder if it will be the same story when Super comes out.

I think I'm gonna move my PS3 back into the spare bedroom. If I do I can play all you PS3 guys at SF4. Currently I'm on Live most nights playing this.

Some new notes about all the characters; http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2010/apr/02/super-street-fighter-4-gameplay-notes-arcadiagamers/

A bit more tempted to play a character with less health (Akuma, Ibuki) due to all the damage changes. Trouble is I am rubbish with super jump cancelling so will have to practice that a lot if I ever wanna play Ibuki at anything close to high level...

Still trying Cody first though! Bison too because his new psycho crusher is inticing. :D

Looks like SSFIV will get arcade cabinets.

Super Street Fighter IV Confirmed for Arcade Release

Although unlikely to get an official release in North America, Super Street Fighter IV will get a cabinet in Japan, Capcom said at the recently concluded Japanese championships.

Producer Yoshinori Ono confirmed the arcade release after presenting console copies of the game to the winners of 3-vs-3 tournament for original Street Fighter IV. You can see the announcement at 2:30 of this video, which is entirely in Japanese, but "Super Street Fighter IV" and "arcade" are mentioned, and the loud cheer from the crowd, followed by the title graphic, says plenty. The image above was also released at the event.

Kotaku

At least many of the top Japanese arcade-based players will have access to all characters and we could see some interesting things in tournaments.

Well i played some Super street fighter 2 turbo today.. now i don't know if it's because i used to play on keyboard (snes controller before that) and now i'm using an arcade stick, but shoryukens are harder to do that i remember :(
I used to be able to do that 95+% of the time, but now it's close to 60%.
I'm sure SF4 has something to do with it, because i automatically think 'double tap df' for a dp. Thankfully i've started to naturally do the full motion again, but SF4 made me not have to learn the dp motion on the stick.

Anywho.. it was quite fun, although as expected, i lost a lot more than i won. Mainly using ryu, but i'm looking to learn some deejay (even though i hate charge chars).

Music to my ears :D

Kreeeee! Get those tournament spreadsheets warmed up ;)

I won't be playing Super online.

There will be enough competition off-line in Brum and dojo nights will now be weekly with arranged casuals at peoples houses throughout the week.

The Brum scene are about to level up :)

I can't afford to.

If I want to compete I need to leave online play well alone. I don't have the time to un-learn all the bad habits every time I go back offline as I already play far less than my competitors.

So we can expect to see you at Evo next year :) ?
You seriously going "tournament"?

I don't know how people use the shortcuts they feel awkward as hell to use during combos I thought, but yeah Super Turbo is a great game.

I am fine with getting my moves out on it but it's definitely more strict for sure.
