Rugby League Season Starts Soon

If anyone watched the SuperLeague show last night, you have to laugh a bit at Michael Dobson dropping the ball before the try line in the Rhinos v Robins game. I think it got a bigger cheer from the Rhinos fans than they gave when they scored a try!

It was one of those moments....

The natural order of things is restored - Warrington lose to Saints.

You have to look back to this time last season though, Hull FC top with 6 wins from 6 and look where they finished at the end of the season!

I'm still sceptical about the so called "re-birth" of the old gaurd, however, I do not hold this opinion for Wigan, who have been awesome every time I've seen them, including the their Hull KR game when I was at the DW.

Hull KR, I am sad to say, I cannot see finishing in 4th position again but would love to be proved wrong.

Well, I'm hoping we (Bradford) can make the playoffs this year.

I still think it will be a couple of years before we are back on form and we might be at Valley Parade by then.

After a brief rest, I'm back posting, by popular demand. ;-)

We usually catch the train/bus to the ground. Parking is on a first come first served basis from what I understand. I think its aobut £5 to park, although I'm not 100% on this.

I would recommend getting to the ground for about 12:30-1 and joining Me and Karen for a swift half, or two, at the pub opposite the ground.

The car park opposite the ground is like a re-enactment of the the Battle of the Somme if it has rained - ankle deep in mud

Huge weekend coming up! The Hull derby, the Airport derby and Wigan-Sts. The next 10 days could make some team's season. Another big test for Wigan. They keep meeting all the challenges thrown at them, but I think Sts might be a step too far atm. Wigan were in poor form when they played their last game at Central Park, but lifted to beat Sts. I think the boot will be on the other foot this time (even though it pains me to say it). Sts are coming back to some real form. If they start to click all other teams can do is hang on.

Over the moon we stuffed Saints at the last league derby in Knowsley hole. Superb lads. Sam Tomkins saved our asses with those 2 breaks.

Went to the pub in Standish, Wigan again played well but burnt out, the team will be awesome in a few years but just think they will burn out before the end of the season.

Been to the Hull Derby this weekend, was gutted Rovers lost after all the possession they had, just can't finish the final play which was disapointing. Luaki should have been sent off for Hull though, he was irrate and throwing punches around.

Delighted by the comeback against strugglers Harlequins today though, one of our heaviest victories in the SL, 52-12, wish I was there but alas, is a bit too far away.

Bring on Bradford on the 25th!

Also, watched Leeds Bradford, brilliant game.

This deserves its new post I suppose, Wigan seem unstoppable this season. Bad news about Amos Roberts though, he was playing well. It seems Paul Cooke didn't have a terrific day!
