whats the worst game / biggest waste of money you've purchased?

Am I the only one to really like mirror's edge?

Gears of War... seriously, so glad I torrented it because it went straight into the bin. As for bought, Prince of Persia on the PSP... Awful port :(
 
PES 2008
PES 2009

Not tried PES 2010 cause the last two sickened me off them.

Oh, and Madden 08 & 09 as well.

All my favourite sports games seemed to get ruined in 2008/09.
 
Pro Evolution Soccer (all the games). Absolutely dreadful games. Couple it with atrocious commentary "He's going sideways!" and that's a recipe for a disastrous game.

I'll get flamed now and get called "FIFA FANBOY NUB!"
 
mass effect 2 because there is too much talking and fighting same enemies over and over. if you step out of the cover your dead in one second. side quests last like 2 minutes. to explore another planets you have to scan hundred of them and only fun part about that is reading the description of what each one is made of ....boring. there wasn't enough action
 
Not trying to be controversial, but at the moment for me it's FFXIII.

I bought it at launch and have literally only played up to the first save point. Just haven't been that bothered in picking it up over the last few weeks, but I will do eventually.

I guess it's essentially just been £35 gathering dust.
 
I dont buy that many games unlike some of you guys here, so cant say I worry that much over wasting money on them. I see them like going to the cinema etc, looking at it as a few hours entertainment and if I dont like the game purchased cut my losses trade it and hope for better next time.

Would say I wasted thousands on PC hardware over the years. Wasted as really I dont think I got the value out of them with constant upgrades. Quit that a long time ago though.
However it would take buying a right few wasted games to match this as its got the possibility of either being fantastic or the biggest waste of money in my life. :D

Blimey, talk about a blast from the past. I remember the rolling demo that was released ages before the game - I (and all my mates) wanted that game so much.

Definitely (on the Amiga anyway) one of the biggest disappointments ever. Shockingly short, and if I recall they even printed the cheat code in the manual.
 
you guys must be joking abt MGS4...come on guys its one of the best games....i love MGS series...call me a fanboy or whatever but i love this game
