Tiger Woods - PGA Tour Online

Site is down for Maintenance.

Another Tourney will be up Shortly.

I cant seem to get back in the groove since not playing for a while. The PRO Shop has cocked things right up for me - lol

no idea about pricing - playing it close to their chest - hopefully £5-6 a month - not the rumoured £9.95 a month as that is just silly pricing

Site is back up again

All stats etc are still there as a free member.

New courses added - Oakmount and HArbour Town.

Cheeky ******* EA and their exchange rate. $59.99 magically becomes £49.99. It should be £42/£45.

But anyway, you get 3000 points with that, when you would normally only get 1500 as an offer for beta users.

Not bad I suppose for £4 odd a month. Will await some more solid information of what you actually get etc for the subs.

£6.99 per month.
£49.99 per year.

Plus "green fees" ontop of that.

Im out - Overpriced in my opinion.

Surely £50 a year should give you unlimited access to at least play a practice round for free.

you sure about "green fees" ontop of that?? - where does it say that? I thought it was unlimited access to the courses for your £49.99?

Not sure whats going on, but if you bypass the initial screen, then go to 'Add Points', 5,500 points is £30.

So why on earth would I want to spend £50 for 3,000??? Am I missing something??

Hmmm, so it would appear that with Annual Membership you get unlimited access to all courses. So why the points then?

EA need to put more info on there IMHO

more info needed for sure but the points allow you to buy special "branded " drivers/balls etc in the pro's shop and also allow you to play in the tournaments etc.

However what I want to know is if the tournaments are say 100 points each - so you get 30 entries (3000points with yearly subs)- what happens after that?? Surely they can't expect you to pay £50 and only play a months worth of tournaments and then start paying for more points!!

Awaiting more information for sure!

edit: Ah posted too slow, as Boo says, what does membership give you apart from points?

Looks like the combined version of tournaments are still free to play plus one of the signature tournaments. I'll probably just stick with them.

Yeah, its good that there is still some free content. That will keep me going until they release more info on the points structure.

it's 3600 points per month with membership isn't it? so 30 to 40 tournies a month or less if you use points on clubs/balls etc.

Speaking of which, for a while yesterday, the new top of the range driver was listed as $120 when it should have been 120 points.

I bought 3000 rounds before they noticed and changed it. :D

Some courses are free, some courses need "green fees" AFAIK.

Seems like they may have cocked this up good and proper.

Right low down as follows:

Pay monthly or one yearly subsription and all green fees including touneys are free.

If you were in beta and pay for a year up front you get 3000 points to spend in the shop compared to the normal 1500 points for paying up front.

Points (if you are a member) gets you better clubs and balls etc but you can still buy lesser equipment with your in game winnings.

Later tournies will give you points as well as money.

If you don't become a member, all tournies except two per day and the two free courses will cost you points. Points can be bought (5000 for £30) and then spent on tournies.

So if you plan to play lots, paying for the full year up front is the best deal since you get 3000 points free.

If a casual player but you want to enter the odd tourney then buying points might be better. £8 for 1000 would get you 6 to 10 tournies. I suppose when they start issuing points as prizes and you are good enough you could keep winning enough points that you do not need to buy anymore.

Last scenario unlikely though as the best clubs and balls can only be bought with points so they will be at the top of the tournies.

That's what I have got so far.

Hello everyone,

There seems to be some confusion on the way memberships and points work, so let me clarify.

Non-Members

- Can play for free on the any of the Open courses (currently two courses).

- Can play on all other courses for a Greens Fee which can be purchased with Points.

Monthly Membership

- Grants access to ALL courses without ever having to pay a Greens Fee.

Annual Memberships

- Grants access to ALL courses without ever having to pay a Greens Fee.

- Standard bonus on an Annual Membership is an additional 1,500 points (a $15 USD value)

- Customers who participated in the Open Beta get DOUBLE the Points on an annual subscription. That's 3,000 Points (a $30 USD value).

Both Membership offers allow users to spend these Points exclusively in the Pro Shop since members DO NOT ever have to pay a Greens Fee.

Also, Pro Shop items purchased with Points have comparable attributes to items purchased with In-Game Cash, with the exception that for items purchased with Points, their money multiplier and attribute bosts will last for more rounds.

Think I will give the annual one a go!

The amount of cheating that must go on doesn't make the game worthwhile to pay to play in order to try and win points in tournaments. When you see scores of -23 on tournaments that have strong wind, no aiming, no gridlines on greens and no putt previews you know something is going on!

I haven't played since the beta finished, to be honest I hadn't played much since the Pro shop came along and messed up all the attributes that I had worked for.

Shame really as it was a good game at one point.
