5770S 512mb Crossfire with i7@4ghz

Hi just curious how much of a performance hit will I have against the 1gb versions am using a 1680by 1024 resolution.
How many frames should I be expecting with crysis on very high

Forgot to add am using 6gb of ram

Get a 1gb card if you can. Crysis on V High at that res will fill the Vram on a 512mb card so it will cause the game to stutter quite badly as data gets swopped between Video and system ram.

512mb is barely viable as a gaming option now IMO.

You got a great system don't skimp on a card,as it will hold it back at higher res and a lot of AA

Thing is I got both for £140 and thought that was the best value option available, I dont need AA on hopefully won;t jutter

Hell of a bargain you got yourself there. Will be fine at your res and faster than the 5850.

512mb and 1gb card isnt much different in money dont bother getting a 512mb

If you already got them then they should be fine at that res for most games only way to find out is try them

at 1920x1200 and 4aa and very high setting crysis uses just over 1gb

Thats bloody mental, it will outperform a stock 5850 in most games and come close to a 5870. The non crossfire games though it will lagg behind the 5850

However, even at 1440x900 I still run into what I think are V-Ram problems... Especially on Crysis; I can't turn AA on in that and still run at max settings.

Modern Warfare 2 also takes a nosedive from AA... not sure if that's the V-ram running out as I can't check it due to being on Windows 7...

But yeah, 1 gig ***, no point even getting a 512 meg card unless you get it CHEAP

Not your card as I can run modernwarefare with a gts 250 512mb with x2 aa on 1600 by 1000 with no dips
