Alan Wake's European release date has been changed once again my Microsoft. But don't worry. This time it's good news as the launch has been pushed forward a week, from the previous May 21st date.

Remedy's 'psychological action thriller' will now be out in the UK and Europe on May 14th, which is currently four days before the North American date.

"Fans in the UK have been crying out to get their hands on Alan Wake since it was first announced and we're thrilled to be able to deliver it to them early," said Stephen McGill, Director, Xbox & Entertainment, Microsoft UK.

Alan Wake is the story of the titular writer, who is hounded by his own creations as he desperately searches for his missing wife. But then you'll know that already if you've read our massive Alan Wake preview and watched our awesome interview.

If you haven't already - do it! Do it now!

i saw the title of the news article and thought here we go again, but its actually awesome news.

up yours america ahahahahaha :P

They must be worried about Red Dead Redemption and the huge marketing budget that game has so want to get Alan Wake out first. I was only planning on buying RDR but that 1 week now is probably enough to buy and finish Alan Wake first...

Would want a demo first. Can already picture how Red Dead Redemption will play since it will be (probably) exactly the same as GTAIV control and feel wise.

Hmmm decisions!

I'll probably pick this up a bit cheaper after completing Red Dead Redemption, which looks a lot more appealing imo

i am looking foward to red dead, even though i genrally hate westerns red dead looks pretty good, but im looking foward to alan wake about a million times more, its my 2nd most anticipated game this year after reach.

It is indeed, and it looks rather good.

Although I'm sure the final release version will not be as smooth as the videos and have frame rates issues (basically the same flaws as GTA4). But it's something different.
I have seen a few videos of it and love GTA IV still so that is a deffo buy for me, not sure about Alan wake yet though.
