Somewhere in the middle.
Ive never bought tires online without fitting, but ive seen some bargain toyo proxes at camskill which would fit my peugeot nicely.

at 28 quid a pop I cant complain, but how much do garages normally charge for fitting. I understand they normally offset this fee with the profit they make selling tires themselves.

Is it likely to cost much for fitting and balancing?

i pay £10 a wheel but others have said they can get it done for as low as £5 each

i certainly wouldnt pay anymore than £10 a wheel.

i certainly wouldnt pay anymore than £10 a wheel.

Your up north though!

Usual rate tends to be £12 a corner I find. Did manage to find mobile fitters for £10 each though, score.

I normally try and go to a smaller place which are more likely to take a cash deal. Last time I had 4 tyres fitted for £20.

Edit - That was for the same T1-R's too from camskill. :D

I paid a kwik fit monkey £20 for 4 tyres. It was quiet and his boss was out, so I'm guessing it went into his back pocket

No more than £10 per tyre, EVER. If they try to charge more they are just ripping you off.
I've got my last set done for £5 per as I was having some other work done on car at same place so got a deal

Round my area I was quoted £10 to 20 per wheel for my 255/30/18 rears.

Hi-Q was cheapest (but I know them) Just Tyres were the most expensive.

Should your car not be fitted with 255/35/18's?

mine are meant to be 195/55/15s but the 195/50/15s are considerably cheaper and supposedly handle better due to stiffer sidewalls, although they might look a little bit poo with standard ride height.

too cheap to ignore for me right now though

maybe nick is doing similar
