Bioware vs Valve showdown

Hmmm I like both so much.

I'd say Bioware, because I've not played Portal and didn't really play TF. But I do love HL series, and CS (or used to, don't play CS anymore).

Is this like that stupid "Best Game Hero" tournament that was won by Gordon Freeman thanks to a nice bout of ballot stuffing?

Lets face it, most people will simply just pick their favourite game (which for the great unwashed spotty teenagers is often CS) and then just vote repeatedly for the developer.

Result: A competition not worth the webpage it's displayed on.

How did the farmville makers beat R* North and IW  ? EDIT: SERIOUSLY, WTF, Valve only beat them by 6%. They installed spyware on pc's .

Oh well, Valve all the way, I don't particularly like any game by Bioware at all, they're all RPG's or RPG ish games :(. So for me it's an easy choice.

Shame maxis got beaten by fable makers, imho SC4 and original Sims > Fable series. Surprised how high the (Bungie) Halo support is too...

Be interested to see what offers Valve will come up with to thank everyone assuming they win (which they are doing) - as last time the offer was pretty boring as nigh on everyone has the Halflife series now so the % off those games was pointless to most!

Has to be Valve for me. The only good BioWare games were BG1 & 2, since then I've not been impressed with them.

Bungie have had the following from day 1 really and are quite open with their fan base making them instantly loved. Look in the halo manual and it even has a thankyou and a weird testimonial to the fanbase + directs you to the webby to join in.

It's good when a company is so open as it ultimately leads to better products. Now if EA did this... :P

Valve for me, Bioware create very good games, but in terms of man hours invested, it would have to be Valve.

Have to say Bioware tbh. Valve did bring us Steam, but thats not related to the game development side.
I have spent a LOT more time playing BG, NWN, KOTOR, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Jade Empire etc than I have playing half life, portal and L4D.

Cant be bothered registering though :(

EDIT: OMG Bioware beat Blizzard!!

Fantastic choice for the top two. Three of my favourite developers in the final four. I would not want to choose between Valve and Bioware. They have both provided me with many hours of fun over the last ten years.

So, I refuse to vote, as I think they're both great and I will not favour one over the other! :D

Probably because people are  at what's been happening in WoW recently. :p

Tough one to call!
Bioware has it though, as much as i like the HL series/TF2 etc. I've never felt the need to go through any of Valves games again, were as Bioware its a different game each time.
You cant really credit valve with CS and TF as they were not originally developed by them.
