Online Threats

I would laugh this off but if he is quoting your address, you have clearly slipped up somewhere - you already know this but you should never give your details out online, especially on these games where a best friend can just as soon be your enemy.

The problem is I'm very conscious of giving out information about myself, he will have attained my full name from the email address I registered to the website with and you can work purely with that nowadays and 'dig' the rest from searches etc.

The electoral roll entry for me alone can be found with a quick google.

You would be surprised at the lengths some people will go to i have had 2 lads fighting in my home before over a few words spoken out of turn.

you have 4 options:

1) Ignore it and hope nothing comes of it but keep messages just in case.
2) Contact the police with the messages as proof.
3) If you have his details contact the MOD and let them know that one of their soldiers is threatening a civvie.
4) Message him back and let him know that you aren't scared and if he carries on you are reporting him to the police and the MOD.

Speak to Blizzard again , ring them and speak to someone and make it very clear you feel threatened by this person and will go to the police if blizzard is not prepared to take any action.

I would expect from this at the very minimum a blizzard rep will have a quiet word with the guy, if at that point you still get any threatening contact make sure you report it straight away and at that point go to the police.

While it might sound funny I expect this is absolutely no joke to the OP and I am quite sure the police would see it that way too.

You have a few options,

A) If your rating is higher than his, mock him.
B) If your gear is better than his, call him a noob.
C) If he is better than you, hide!

But, seriously, contact Blizzard again and tell them that you want to take it further and if they don't sort it out contact your local police on the non-emergency number.
