My wife is looking for a new camera which has to be compact and stylish! takes good photos without changing settings all the time and has to be silver. basicly a point and shoot camera. any suggestions would be appreciated!

Given that one of the key requirements is that the body is silver, I doubt that there's any serious photography involved here. Nevertheless, there are some decent cameras in the sub £150 market.

I'd recommend she try the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS10. £125, leaving room for some extra memory cards.

thanks for the reply!! how does this compare to the cybershot w320? as she was looking at this.

how Does the FS10 respond after pressing the shoot button? as her samsung is terrible! quick subjects are a no no with the samsung.

I bought my wife a Panasonic FS7 and I am very impressed with the image quality for the price. I cant recall where I read it but some view it as one of the best compacts under £170 and it can be had at present for less than £80.

I compared it to my 450D with both set on auto and the difference was hardly noticeable. Don't get me wrong it is not DSLR level of IQ but on a quick and dirty test it impressed me so much that when we go on holiday I will leave my 450D at home.
