I know on the site it says they normally won't arrive till a week before the event, But is this just to cover delays in postage etc? or is it actually to deter people from selling them on.

And also, has anyones tickets actually arrived a week before the event or so?

(I like having actual tickets in hand, doesn't really effect me at all, And just being inquisitive really)

I'm not sure but i think a lot of these ticket selling places don't actually receive the tickets themselves till not long before the event.

It seems to be common practice nowadays to receive them a few days prior.

I know what you mean though, i prefer to receive tickets beforehand as it takes that worry away that they may not turn up!

chances are they'll not arrive until a week or so before the event. sometimes it's different, but the norm now is for them to be sent out shortly before the event, for a multitude of reasons, yes one of which is to stop people selling them on so easily.

I usually get them a few days before the event with Ticketmaster, they don't get them themselves until then either, as far as I know, so just send them when they get them.

Nah, it's not that. I've been working casually at various box offices across London for a few years now and they can print them off whenever they want to.

For example at The O2 you can purchase them at the box office and print them out straight away. But for certain events you'd need to receive them in the post even if you purchase at the window. This is mainly down to the promoters.

At Wembley the standard procedure is to print and post them out a week before the game.
