The first one is nice, but the 2gb versions are bit over-price when you can get the 5870 for the same price which is faster.

Typo. the 2gb '5850' has 1600 cores meaning it must be a 5870

edit: if so that would make it bargain of the century! Im guessing the desc is the wrong way round for 2nd and 3rd product?

Maybe the Toxic can overclock like mad, so they're expecting them to be overclocked? But wow 2gb on a 5850, it makes me even more tempted to go eyefinity!

I would love to try eyefinity but the bezels really put me off. I wonder how it will be before we start to see bezel-less displays.

I'm almost certain the specs are wrong, going by the Sapphire's manufacture codes.

The pictures show blue custom PCB's which would indicate voltage tweaking and the magical ~1000MHz barrier will be impossible for alll 3 or these cards.

Yes. I know someone on another forum whose bought a 5850 Vapor-X, he cannot change voltage regardless using MSI Afterburner, the core would only increase 50MHz.

Ok guys been thinking long and hard about these two cards and I'm gonna buy one of them, 5850 or a 5870. Now I'm thinking already some folks are reporting 1Gb of memory is not enough for some games, I game at 1920 X 1080 and like as much AA as possible. So do I need the 2Gb 5850 or go with the 1Gb 5870.

What about two of those 2Gb 5850's in crossfire. :eek:
