Ah, that'll be the Galaxy S. There are a couple of blogs stating Summer/June 2010 expected release dates. pdadb says May. The only source I could find that stated it's information came from Samsung said "later this year".

However, these are probably US release dates. It may not make it over here for a while after that.

Three have just released a number of contract options for the Desire, including 18 month contracts but I think the phone cost isn't fully subsidised. The impression I got was that they aren't as competitively priced as the other carriers just now.
 
Has anyone actually answered your question (about future Android phones)?

There are suggestions that Motorola will bring out the "Nexus Two" within Q2.. that might be a thought.. seeing as it will most probably be king of phones if/when it comes out..

Don't forget physical buttons for home, back, etc instead of soft buttons.

Not sure if I would choose a Samsung again. Phones were ok but they are pretty fiddly to use and more difficult than they need to be.

Went from Samsung Pixon to HTC Desire - different league, and I mean Div 4 to Premier League TBQFH
 
It's worth noting the Desire will get an update for 720p recording and DivX playback.

That alone makes it > The Nexus One even if it doesn't have the dual mic for noise cancellation (only useful for voice commands because incall quality is almost the same on both).
 
Oooh. DivX playback? That will almost definitely swing it for me towards the Desire for my upgrade next month. Very little info out there at the moment about it, but it does seem fairly solid info.

Does this means it will be able to play xvid as well?
 
A HTC Rep said it was happening but didn't state a date, I'd imagine it will be soonish though due to new phones coming out every few months at the latest!
 
Yeah, Desire looks like a good option at the mo. I've got an upgrade this month, will probably go for it. Looking at the Motorola Milestone too though, liking the full qwerty.

Do you mean HTC will bring out a Nexus Two, or that Motorola will bring out a Droid 2?

The latter would be awesome, as it seems like the original Droid/Milestone needs a bit more grunt...

The HTC Evo 4G isn't far off in the US, but personally I'm waiting on the Dell Mini5 (or Streak as it appears to have been renamed).
