Honda Type R

I went down to my local honda delaership with my mate today, so he could pick up his car from service. As we were waiting I had a look at the civics that were on offer. I saw a very sexy Honda Type R Mugen for £23,000 with everything, Sat nav, bluetooth 19" alloys, 2.0 VTEC the works. So I started to think......worth it? Your thoughts?

The point was that a 2004-2005 civic type r can be had for £6000-7000.

£23,000 is worth it? Absolutley not.

You can get a diesel Golf for that!

I was hugely disappointed having seen one in the flesh at the BTCC last weekend. I knew the standard Civic has dummy exhaust surrounds, but so does the Mugen. Got too piddly straws set back inside.

Wouldn't pay £23k for a Civic though.

I wouldn't for that money I don't think. Maybe the Focus RS or RS500 would be a better buy.

I have a Type R GT (not Mugen I know) and I do love it, but I only paid 15k new for it and don't think I would want to pay much more.
