I am going to get a new laptop, but as you know, they all are installed with Windows 7 one of these days.

As I am used to SteadyState now with my Vista, I really need it on Windows 7.
Are there any news that Microsoft will be releasing SteadyState?

What are alternatives to SteadyState?

There are no plans to do it as far as i can tell
They did release details that they wasnt but i vaguely remember a group that was going to try get them to but i cant find the group online now so i guess that came to nothing too.

Theres a program called Anti-Executable, the amount of calls I had to do to allow Office to run without being blocked, usually after an update from Microsoft. I can see the theory behind it but in practice I think there probably are better ways of stopping people running programs.

Maybe I should go to bed now...
