How do you take nice photos?

I have a cybershot 7.2 mp camera but i cant take decent photos.

When i get a bit back then i cant see mto capture any detial and when i zoom in or get close it becomes blurry.

An example is in the case section where some people post really nice close up pics or their pcs/parts

How do i take photos like that?

This depends on the type of camera people use. Some may be using a point and shoot like yours but others may be using a DSLR perhaps with a dedicated lens specific to shooting close up shots.

A point and shoot (compact) camera is a jack of all trades and easy to carry but as you've found out there can be limitations on what you want to shoot with fine detail.
 
If youre asking how to take a nice/good photo, nobody can really help you on that, but if youre asking for techniques how to take a good picture then sure the above links probably help you.

Taking a photo thats going to make you think "thats nice" or "thats cool" can only come from your eye. If you dont have "an eye" for taking a picture then no one can teach you that, you would just have to learn that yourself, gradually. Its not as easy as you think as you pick up a camera and take a picture (like a lot of people are doing these days), taking one or two good pictures dont mean you have an eye for photography either, which is why I presume that a lot of people think upgrading to the best gear is going to do that for them. Sure everyone has a off day even if theyre good, pros too but it all comes down to how you visualize the end photo before you even take the photo to begin with, if you can do that, then you probably have a good chance of getting nice photos.

thanks. yes your right about the dslr becuase most people when they post in that case thread they talk about taking with a dslr. But ive been messing around with my camera and ive take nsome pretty decent ones.
 
Apart from technical competence which you can learn if you invest a bit of time to read up on shutter speed, apertures, rule of thirds etc the most important thing is to look at what you're taking a picture of.

By that I mean don't just whip the camera out and hit the button.

Spend a little time and make sure you compose the shot. In the simplest form don't have tree or a lamppost coming out of someone's head, be aware of where the sun is, etc etc

The most important part of the camera which ensures a good photograph is the 12 inches behind the viewfinder.
