They are ok seeing as that was IBT load temps and it's not going to get that hot under normal use. On the other hand it's quite hot for a low overclock. Strange that you have 11 degrees difference between both pairs of cores though. Have you tried reseating the heatsink?
when i was using a 9450 on water it never got above 60, and before that with a zalman cp9700 it never got above 68... that was at 3.75GHz using about 1.38Vcore...
No, I couldn't live with those temps, lasrgely because I'm human and those temps would kill me. A piece of silicon though, will happily not die at those temps.
If you aren't happy with them, I'd suggest a better cooler and thermal paste as you'll end up probably able to overclock quite a bit further, and with lower temps come middle of summer when those temps are liable to increase, well if your room temp tends to go up in summer that is. Mine goes through the roof, its sitting at around 30C right now, just after a marginally hot day with a couple computers running
OF course that all depends on what cooler you have now.
Panic over, my cooler (ocz vendtta) had come lose, i put a new hdd in yesterday and must have knocked it. Just ran ibt 5 passes and maxed at 63oc on core 0. Thanks anyway gents was getting worried...
temps @ 3.6 (see pic)... Ran 20 passes of ibt high last night, was going to take screen shot but missis checked her emails and closed everything, just did a quick 5 pass run to show you temps...
Who needs water.....
Just about to start 12 hours of Prime95.... Lets see how that goes..
