Did a shoot yesterday, 2 for critique. Warning, gay photos....no, really!

Hey guys,

Ok before we go anywhere let me explain. I did a photoshoot yesterday for a new local club, which at the end of the month are going to be having a gay night on a Thursday. They had several ideas for photos but I've picked my 2 favourites.

Now there is NO male nudity, just guys in their underwear. I don't want a thread full of "ZOMG GAAAY" comments, I got enough of that from the London meet :p - I'd like C&C but let's not be juvinial over it, we all know what the human body looks like :)



Here's a break so if you don't think you can manage the above, you can press back without being 'gayed up' :p - And one other side note, whilst I was there I was told to 'play with light' :D

Interesting, I like the first shot more but I find the lighting not quite as balanced on the left side. The second shot feels underexposed and lack the feel of 'come on boys' like the first shot. Strictly professional critic from me...

Now on a side note: Gay Pirate with Blink Eye Patch!
 
Wow, well...they're quite gay, certainly something different for OcUK!

In the first shot, the guys at the back are casting a slightly odd shadow on the wall, it's a little distracting since it kind of gives some extra depth, but is a little soft and almost too deep in places. I'm no expert, so can't describe what I'm saying very well, I hope you get the gist.
 
actually, the first one is quite good, it could be a bit brighter in the back (easily fixed in LR), and cropped tighter a little but overall it is exactly as it is supposed to be.

Cool thanks, the photos along with all the others have already been submitted to the club but it's good to hear other peoples thoughts :)

Yep, lighting would have been better if I could direct some more towards the center to make the depth gradual.

OMG GAY. EVEN THOUGH YOU SAID GAY I WAS NOT EXPECTING SUCH GAYNESS!

Ok seriously. Poses are spot on. As above though, the lighting on the left side needs some adjustment on pic 2.

First pic is good aswell. Even with the shadows :)
 
Something I forgot to add, yesterday I met someone I been waiting to meet for a long time...I decent friggin director! She was brilliant, myself, her, the club owner and the guy running the gay nights sat down and discussed each shot like how and where we wanted it...then she would go off and sort the poses out then when taking the shots me or the 2nd photographer would fine tune it (telling people to move their arms a bit etc)

We swapped details at the end of the day and both agreed we want to work together again :D - Happy days!
 
The shadows in pic1 I find distracting and agree with the earlier comment about the guy in pic 2 cutting across the door sign.

Re the subject ... well that's a different story but hey ho it's a free world ( almost )
