Asus rampage III Extreme

and EVGA German RMA support is as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Asus has always been spot on for me.

My EVGA custom stopped when they screwed me around on a 680i board no way i would spend that much on a board that would probably take me ages to sort if it went wrong.
 
I couldnt even get myself to upgrade from a UD5 to either the UD7 or P6X58D Premium. The UD7 being too expensive for what it has, and the blue Asus one having a good price, but still the same lame slot spacing.

But this R3E is looking so good and perfect that its driving me mad, I NEED IT NAOW!.
 
VK do you have any info as to when this board is being released? It's been about 2 weeks now and we still don't even have an ETA :(.
 
Ive had immense service from EVGA germany and their RMA's are flawless for me atleast. The added bonus of EU shipping instead of USA also makes me love EVGA. I think they will be a while with the next board, but i cant live with 1 measly USB header on my mobo.. When 90% of cases use 2 internal headders why be idiots and just supply one, it totally limits the USB internal expansion.

I`m just glad it has one internal USB header for my case card reader.

Only joking! I see where you're coming from but like Sylver above, I only require one for my two usb ports at the top of my case, so I've nothing to complain about.
 
im considering modding 2 ports out of my atcs840, i know the standard "non obsessive" response is "just have 2 that dont work ;)" but alas i am obsessive and having 2 non working ports on my case would drive me even further insane...

i cant think of any Current cases with only 2 case usb ports?? All full tower cm's have 4, obsidian has 4, tj07 has 4... Enlighten me please ;)

It’s rebuild time over here and I'm going to stick mine into an Obsidian 800D which is on its way.
 
I cant afford that case.

Well, I could if I sold mine, but selling cases is a nightmare and I like my P182 very much.

I listed my hard drives I had to sell yesterday on ebay and they sold in like 10 minutes, £50 for a second hand 1 Tb F1, £58 for a brand new F3 that I got as a relacement for the F1 that broke (I already bought two F3s).

Just need to get my F1 formatted by Monday. Ive spent £800 on my upgrades and so far made £500 back from selling my old stuff :). I do that every 6 months. Next my UD5 and I7 920 money will go towards the cheaper hex core later on in the year.

Well I have been checking the ASUS website every day as I am extremely eager to get the board after waiting about 4 months for it lol, and the first BIOS went up today, which can only mean the release isn't too far away :).
