If it's in their garden, then it's vermin, and they have every right to shoot it.

Be thankfull they are compassionate enough to fix your fence at their own cost.

I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to just shoot people's pets, just because they're in your garden...

Define the diffence between domesic pet and vermin. This is beside the point though, his neigbours are a little peeved that his fence is busted and his cat is laying cables on their lawn, so, they did the decent thing by blocking the hole and didnt cause a fuss.

If the hole is re-opened, then it's hunting season, and kitteh is on the menu :D

Well I'm baffled by that post because you don't need a degree in law to know that you would get prosecuted for harming/killing someone's pet!

Dude, lol! im not suggesting he guns down the cat, just that he respects his neghbours, especialy when they have 'repaired' his fence for him.

If his fence was in good order, then I dare say they would have no need to suspect his cat of pooing on their grass.

The family dog of the house / garden that backed on to ours used to jump the fence between the gardens and shag our dog. They were mismatched size wise, which was quite impressive. Once they got stuck together post coitus - our dog was trying to make it's way back to our house, the other poor mut wanted to go the other way but was getting dragged along, claws in the dirt. It was quite a sight.

Anyway, one night I was in the pub and I saw the lad who lived in this house. He looked a bit down so I asked him what was wrong. Apparently he'd been walking his dog, and when he got home he let it run into their garden but he didn't take it's lead off. An hour later they found it hanging dead from our fence. Whoops.

That's terrible:(.

Your fence, your rules. They cannot touch it, regardless of "whose side to which they attached stuff", both "sides" of the fence are still yours, it's all your property, and on your property, and you can politely inform said neighbours that you shall be pursuing them through the small claims court :p

Now let's bring morality, community spirit, and common sense back into the discussion. After careful consideration, I'm forced to conclude: you're an idiot.
