I don't have a major problem with the carl gustav/'noob tube' anymore... I now tend to try to avoid attracting attention and shooting people before they know where I am if possible, instead of sticking out like a sore thumb and then hoping that I can kill them faster than they kill me like a lot of people seem to do... It works very well if you are half decent at shooting and can kill them before they work out where you are and kill you
I read that as "You must hide in the shadows and camp as much as possible to avoid Gustavs, trying to do the objects is an immediate fail". This is ironically the reason behind a lot of people going Recon to look after there KDR and kill people before they can retaliate and no-one complains about that

If you get fed up with the snipers, Take them out with the guided missile m13 ? Great fun !
If someone took me out with a gustav when i was at a window then fair play but, When you get gustav'ed out in the open when it should be gun vs gun then it's pretty lame. Unless, He thinks you are going to tube him so he lets the rocket go
Saying 'Try to avoid the gustav' is useless, It's the splash damage. It takes no skill to kill someone with it, You don't even need to get a direct hit !

Last night I was trying to shoot a chopper out the sky with my Gustav when it piled into the water. It's occupants must has jumped out seconds before crash because they all run up onto the beach together - well, my Gustav had just reloaded and while I normally try not to use it as an anti-personnel device, I fired it off and whipped out my SMG.... shouldn't have bothered - three kills in one shot.... that is obscene (although I did laugh and gloat in Vent)
The Saiga has good hit registry, all the others suck from my experience.

Its a HARDCORE problem as a whole. Punkbuster is on and streaming, Autobalance is working so its totally out of our hands. We cant force people to play a certain way. I know its a nightmare.
I find that the shotguns are bad because they have no spread.
A shotgun should be either a wide area or a precise blast, but the shotguns behave more like sawn off snipers.
If you aim dead on and use the shotgun mod and magnum ammo then it is one shot kills, which is awesome.
Again the problem is that you have to be precise, there is no spread or spray so you actually get more of a shotgun effect from using the assault rifle.
I will try and test this tonight to get some accurate results, but in my opinion this does occur and yeah some shots definitely do not register.

The 'tweak' is to change your ingame contrast and brightness settings to be about ~30 rather than the default of ~60.

.Actually - whilst my finger hovers over the buy now button - what is the engine like? Hard to explain, but when playing some games (Fallout 3 is the most recent example, STALKER is another), I get motion sickness and quite chronic headaches (I couldn't play FA3 for more then 5 minutes for example).
