And be arrested for about a dozen offences?
I'm just pointing out how it isn't all clean cut, and how going Alpha which, lets face it, none of you would do despite saying it, is folly.
Im a big lad myself so i know how much of a squeeze it can be sometimes, and for that reason i tend to stand rather than have to squash upto someone i dont know![]()
Well you don't pay for a seat - so you have no right to complain, unless you prebooked a seat reservation. Even then it isn't legally binding and the train company has no duty to honour it.
From my experiences, including standing up from London to Manchester more times than I care to remember.
"Or vice versa. However M0T could possibly claim to have been assaulted since he has apparently been bodily pushed out of the seat he was occupying - not that I'm suggesting it is either worthwhile or a good idea but it could be an option.

As soon as he sat down, you should have just said.
"Woah.. calm down fatty"
Stand up to him. I can't believe you took it laying down.
tis a problem on airlines too - tbh.. I think some people who really have let themselves go too much should be charged for two seats.
Fair enough everyone has the right to be lazy or not care about themselves - tis their body they are neglecting/abusing but when it starts to affect other people then it is an issue and they should be made to pay for their life choices.
As far as the OP is concerned that fat guy should have to stand on a train if he can't occupy a seat without making an adjacent passenger uncomfortable.
