I've just started playing this a bit more lately, I didn't have time when it was just released but now I do.

All I can say is the various forms of n00b t00bing and the Gustavs are really really grating, even worse than the t00bers in BF2.

I used to play a medic in BF2 and I really miss my L85A1 as well. Can't get to grips with the LMGs! Ah well, here is hoping I can unlock something I can use further down the line :p.

i tend to use them more like assault rifles. squirt with them! far more accurate (the firing on ful auto thing is rubbish)

I don't think i've actually played Medic since finishing the unlocks. I've occasionally picked up a Medics kit when i ran out of SMG ammo or felt the need for a Heal kit/Defib but i normally stick to the other 3 classes.

I wish motion mines were on a recharge like boxes... it gets annoying running out so soon and having to spend forever looking for an Assault to either steal his kit after you kill him or to wait for the idiot to place the ammo box.

Ah right :p.

Ok well I'd probably favour Recon ultimately, but I've read that takes a while getting used too.

There is a away to level a class very quickly.

Spawn as recon, find dead medic take kit spam kits + m60 get half way through your class by the end of the round :p

yeah... just to explain you get XP for the class with which you start the game, and you keep the uniform as well... which is why you sometimes see ghillie suited guys with rockets.

No its called a stat whore. Keeping out of the open is logical, but its remarkable how many people will be content with just sitting somewhere at the side to kill people who don't know where they are instead of actually trying to push forwards. Because you know, you're supposed to arm/defuse charges but its ok, the rest of my team can do it, i'll just sit here and look after my score.

Why is standing out in the open any better than shooting people from the side? You don't have to run through the middle of the map to get to an objective... You are just making it easy for the enemy to spot you, and can expect to be 'noob tubed' or gustaved. As I said (but you obviously failed to read), I don't just sit in a piece of shrubbery all game... but I don't just run along a road where there's no cover and half the map can see you... I probably do more than my fair share of M Comm kills because I can consistently get close to the M Comm station, as well as providing a very forward spawn point for my squad... something you can't do when you are lying on the floor moaning about noob tubes

Yes because only people stood in the open get noob tubed or gustaved  In my experience you're more likely to get them by trying to sneak around than you are running in head first. All it takes is 1 person to notice you as you try to sneak or 1 person to notice where the bullets came from when you shot someone else and instead of let you escape or lose track its much easier to blow you up. And then theres spotting lighting you up like a christmas tree...

Hence why people just sit there without trying to push in.

I disagree with that, If your the only one sneaking round the outside of a map, while the rest of your team are shooting at the enemy and focusing them on the normal route into the objective, your far less likely to be shot, providing that you proppelly sneak around the outside, checking all possible places where you can be sighted.

Less likely to be shot yes. What i mean is when you do get shot at, its more likely to be a noob tube or Gustav than anything else. That or someone doing a little sneaking of there own gets you in the back with a knife :p I wish i could hear footsteps :(

Not enough people use spotting, or react to it Ive found

I use the Q key all the time yet people still seem to ignore the guys Ive just marked, which is very annoying, especially when they happen to be snipers trying to hide

Well then you are doing it wrong... (and I don't mean you are too far forward/not useless enough.) I used to go in with an all guns blazing attitude and get noob tubed/C Gustaved a lot but now I only get killed a few times a game with these weapons... if even that.

Try finding cover then looking around for a second or two for enemies before running to move cover... If they can see you, you could potentially have seen them (usually). Also, if someone is far away, I will tend to just spot them for my team to kill... a lot of the time they will die, and if not, my life is worth more (as an attacker) than their life... Finding cover is not too difficult in most maps if the enemy is far away... If they are closer, run then try to catch them out (motion sensors are very useful for this).

No, i'm not amazing, i recently got awarded the medic pack in bc2, but i had been using it prior to that? I've got a veteran rating of 4 isf that makes a difference? I am only level 6 and only a medic score of 1558? All teh stats sites show me as not having unlocked them, but i can use them in game?

Just had a fantastic game on a random server.
Was top of the leader board with 6000+ points, closest team member had just over 4000.
I was a sniper, but bombed 3 out of the 4 targets. (My sniping consisted of rushing in, throwing a motion sensor, arming, throwing down some c4 and then hiding upstairs and throwing grenades and detonating the c4 as and when required).
A lot of fun, we lost in the end, I blame the rest of my team. Didn't notice anyone else using 'q' :(

What irks me the most is those buggers who drive off in tanks/vehicles with just them in it after you request a pickup.

Hmmm... my veteran rating was 1 which gave me the WWII weapons, but I didn't think anything else gave any more... I might be wrong though. Did you have any codes you could put into the redeem code part of the game which may have unlocked it?

One thing i cant stand about the game is medics! They do nothing most of the time! I got killed a few times and i could see two of them on my screen at my body and they didn't even revive me.

I think the mini map should be allowed in all modes so you can at least see when people are dead.

The sniping is really getting out of control on some maps as you can be the best squad in the world, and mpush forward arm the bomb and then you notice you have no backup because the rest of the team is either camping for kills or sniping.

Sounds like you're playing too much Hardcore :p

I played some on the TFU server the other night, and the attackers loose much more often than in Vanilla, due to the amount of snipers, and people not willing to push forward. I can see how HC can be fun, but I found the gamemode too slow for my liking :)
