As the name suggests, does anyone know of a resource that i can use freely for photoshop editing.

I've stumbled across this site :

http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-editing/

and wanting to see about putting into practice some of the techniques but don't have traditional 'portrait' shots for the skin smoothing etc Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions?

You can just try searching for certain bits of gear on google at set to more than 8 megapixels or whatever - i.e for portraits try 85mm f1.2 or 135mm f/2. ect ect.

If its just for personal use can you not just use stock images off google or deviant art or something?

It is just for practicing the theory of post processing as I've barely touched that side of things except for a minor adjustment here and there. If i was to go to say deviantart or to a degree just grab an image off the internet there would be a deal of post processing done to them (unless its a myfacetwitbo pic) I'm sort of looking for a 'heres a picture taken in a studio with good lighting etc but the model is untouched in photoshop' The before pic if you will.

I see your point suppose there aren't many shots on the net that haven't been processed before publishing.

Deviant has a stock image section may be worth a browse could hold a few shots even if they may be processed will suit your needs to try techniques on.

Lot's of foreign photo review sites have example studio photos in full size - search for a lens (say if your looking for indoor sports search 200mm f/2 above 8 MP) or camera like for sports 1D mark IV perhaps and often there are shots on there. Another thing to try is try is search for the new Leica S2 in large images (I think there are quite a few in there and it's only really a studio camera).

Finally canon have some SOOC jpegs in their samples gallery (search 1D IV samples or whatever) most of them are on the .co.jp site.

just sample images for area's I haven't dabbled in yet e.g portraiture. but dont worry I wont need to ask you for any for your homo erotica ;):p

On a serious note I can send you a load of unedited non gay portrait shots if you want to play :)

Choose your words carefully, we dont want to go all ScarySquirrel with him getting it out and having a little play etc etc :D

Email in trust if anyone wants to pop something in my box

Alright mate, I'm popping out in about 5 minutes. I'll sort something out when I get in later :)

received. will have a wee go at doing something with it. I've got a couple of ideas to play around with but we'll see what happens. ;)

Heres the test image Peterattheboro kindly sent me

And heres the image I produced from it

Basically I cropped the image to suit, removed a couple of minor skin blemishes around her mouth and shoulder, reduced the background so she would stand out more (although quite an active background to say the least!) black and white conversion with a final dodge and burn to bring out some detail. I'm unsure about the result though. :(

Not sure on the B&W bud. Skin looks a little rough aswell. Also apologies for the over exposed right side of her... it was a really sunny day!

Here's one I did after I sent it to you.
