You would only have 512 Mb available to use on the new one, so I'd say no it isnt.

5670 is only 400 shaders, 4850 and 4770 are 800 / 640 shaders I think, and they are a bit faster.

4670 < 5670 < 4770 < 4850 < 5750 < 5770 should be the performance order of the midrange cards.

I'd suggest selling your 4850 and getting a 5770 by putting a little towards it.

Is that a single-slot cooler on that 4850? If so that could be useful for those into budget SFF systems.
