Hi guys,

How long does it take from your Eurostar train arriving in St Pancras to being able to leave the station? I've never used it before - is it just like a normal train in that it stops, you get off... and leave?

Just wondering whether if I get a Eurostar that arrives in London at 19:03, I can get to Paddington by 19:45...

Thanks!

Quoted travel or ticket times for the tube usually do push it.

And yes the Eurostar is just like a normal train (arriving at Ashford, presume it's the same for St. Pancras).

i would say thats enough time. Memory serves there is passport control but its fast and then a couple of stops on the tube and you should be there. Just get off the eurostar fast, its tight, but do able

I usually allow 30 mins from Paddington to Kings Cross because there is always some kind of engineering work these days which means you usually have to change at Edgware road for some reason or another.

Kings cross to Paddington can take as little as 20 minutes by tube however it can take longer if there's a load of trackwork. When I travel from Kings Cross to Paddington the ticket gives me 45 minutes and I rarely need all of it. :)

I just recently got the Eurostar back from Brussels and on arrival I was through the other side within 5 minutes of the train arriving. This was about 6.30pm too and there was no passport control or immigration, as all that was done Belgium side.

This is true , I found it pretty funny, come upto Belgium immigration , walk 10 meters and then you come up to Uk immigration to show your passport again!:p

In Uk you just walk off like any other domestic train :)

Weird. I came in from Brussels last December and when I left, I went through Belgium control, 5 meters on through British Control, and at St Pancras everyone's passports was checked again. Who said we had lax border control? :p
