Is there any FPS game where theres 64 players per team? (pc online)

IIRC there was a Korean mod with the bf2 engine and same type of game play as bf2 but allowed for 64v64, although i haven't heard about it for a while.

Not sure if there is anything mainstream tbh.

I have read that when Battlefield 3 hits the pc (whenever that my be) it will be 40v40.

Bad Company 2 is 16 v 16 and BF2/2142 are 32v32.

I would think that in future years there will be 64v64 FPS games, but not in the near future.

Iv been googleing for BF2 mods because if theres any games what would support that many players it would be bf2. Or even MW1 ?

mag ps3 is only game isn't that has 128vs128 or resistance2 has 64vs4 again ps3 pc has been lacking on this front.

I can remember q2 used to have 64player dm servers back in the day!!!

Yeah that is Battlefield Online. A free-to-play online game for Korea only and apparently has support for 100 players total, so 50/50 each side. Runs on a modified engine that Battlefield 2142 was on.

As above, Joint Ops could do this. You might want to check out 21CW. They specialise in large scale battles and often add their own mods to allow more players to compete. It's been several years since I played though. My last campaign was shortly after BF2 was released.

Another possible solution would be to run 2 PC's and play BF2142 on them at the same time, you're effectively playing with the same amount of people "on your side".

Don't take this seriously. :p

does it support a high played team?

Planetside used to be a massive game, with 3 empires supporting around 200 people on each team, on any given continent, with vehicles / aircraft / mechs battling for supreme control over a world called......ahhhhhhh crap I've forgotten, I was foolishly going to say "Azeroth".... Anyway... yeah, it was a consistent world so people were still fighting when you logged off and you could jump into the heavy action and make a difference from level 1.

The idea was awesome. Sadly, the game is dead now - it used to have 3 servers, which have now been merged into 1, located in the Eastern parts of the United States I think?

It's worth a quick shot, to see if it's still alive 'enough' to satisfy your needs. I tried it not so long ago, and it seemed there were around 70 in each Empire which was decent enough, but obviously having experienced it in it's full glory it didn't feel the same.

I hear they're talking about a Planetside 2 though, so that would be definitely something to look for. That being said, the servers they have can still support the massive games they used to have - but as the game is just plain dead, I don't think it gets the audience it used too... people just left, as the game got too old - and the developers just started to drop off the face of the world with regards to decent upgrades to the game.

Hope this helps!

Sorry, was heading off so I didn't get much time to explain my choice. But as jahu says, its one of only two MMOFPS games out there, and is brilliant fun. Yes, it used to be better, and does have a monthly fee, and Sony have almost run it into the ground, but nothing matches the scale of the game. You're playing over huge continents trying to capture several bases.

I'm pretty certain you can download the game launcher and sign up for a free trial, but I'm not sure how long it is. Probable 1-2 weeks.
