This made me laugh. He's an online freak who gets wound up over WoW, you really think his friends in the army are going to take him serious. If anything they'll be a bunch of his guild dressed up as some sorta Warriors coming to Heroic Strike yo' ass!

I'm finding it somewhat amazing that people are taking it for granted that he's even IN the Army.

huh ? they get as much free time as anyone else (except teachers of course)
Its not just the free time, its the means to play Internet games when in Afghanistan. From what i've read, they use satellite connections which are useless for gaming. I also correspond with a few servicemen from the US and other countries and internet access very restricted, where available at all.
Keep contacting GM's it doesn't matter if the threat is disguised if you tell a GM it is and what is going on they will take it seriously.
The more you report it the sooner there will be a heavy case for one of the GM's to take some action. Also there is a fellow GM who uses these forums, you may want to contact him, he is a nice enough guy, idk if I should say his forum username (even if he has said it before) but PM me and I'll give you his trust info if you want to send him an email.

Seriously though, inform blizzard, he'll probably get banned, and as others have said, they may inform the authorities. In which case it'd be more trouble for him and his family than it's worth (from his point of view)
