Gurudwara - Sikh place of worship.
Nishan Sahib - The holy Sikh flag. It gets changed every year on the day of Vaisakhi.
Vaisakhi - Sikh celebration of the birth of Khalsa.
Khalsa - The "Bill of Rights" (if you will) for Sikhs. It recognises a Sikh who follows the disciple and text from the holy teachings.
Nagar Kirtin - a celebratory walk, to celebrate Vaisakhi. This usually involves thousands of Sikhs walking through the streets offering free (veg) food and (non-alcholic) drink. A bit like a carneval.![]()
