These 2 sentences seem to contradict each other. Assuming that XXXX is the reseller and Walkeruk is the end user.

I'm not sure if they are trying to say that for example, Person A buys a GFX card with a 12 month warranty from OcUK. Then person A sells it in the MM to person B.
Person B may have a warranty, but it is 12 months from the date it was purchased from OcUK, not from person A.
It's very badly worded though and may mean something entirely different!

They have just replied again, seems that xx1 have warranty from xx2 from when they buy it, so the xx2 warranty has ran out but the resellers xx1 might have liability stilll.

Simple.

Reseller buys item from the manufacturer, this is the point the warranty starts.

You buy it two months after the reseller bought it means it is two months into its warranty with the manufacturer.

It means that if you buy something from OcUK then resell it later on, the warrenty started when you bought it from OcUK not from when you sold it to the other person, regardless of if it had been used or was unopened.

yes

acer warrantys for example start from when the product is bought by the reseller, NOT the end user.

Because normally from electrical stores you would get a standard warrenty on electrical goods, normally a yr I think.

They mean exactly that, your warranty on the product began at the point you bought it from the retailer/reseller.

Maybe this explains it better.

OcUK buy a monitor from Dell. The warranty starts on day of purchase from Dell to OcUK. You then buy this monitor from OcUK 2 months after they got it from Dell. The product is 2 months into its warranty with Dell through OcUK. After the ten months has expired (12 months in total, and the end of the warranty with Dell to OcUK) the last two months are generally covered by the retailer (OcUK in this example) who will then deal with the item after this with the manufacturer.

Does that make it sound any clearer?

Hi thanks for the response. and sorry for the thread revival as such, So im looking at a pay out from the retailer? if indeed im still within the two year warranty period from THEM and not the wholesaler.

They offered me a 9800 GT Green Edition, for my 8800 gtg xfx oc edition. What do you guys think
