What a absolute amazing brilliant awesome game! Cant believe there isn't really any threads on this! The amount of swearing ive done over this game is unreal haha, very very VERY hard game is you play it properly (hard).

Easy 1 of best game's i have ever played!

Will now have to get the collectors addition, as i have never even heard of 'God of War' till a few week ago.

If you haven't already played it, get it! And especially get it if you like your Greek mythology.

Just my random big up to the game.

I put it in my list of top 50 video games so clearly I respect it but I don't think it's quite as good as all that. It'd damn fun and got some interesting spectacles but it's also got so many flaws like being short, having some boring gods (like the one who runs fast being so plain and Hades being pretty boring), the parts where you climb along the chains and it goes to a side view feel very outdated and poorly done, the grab mechanic is auto aimed so it grabs the wrong people half the time and doesn't let me aim at who I want to grab and to top it off 3 out of 5 of the weapons are chain sickles. Like I said though I also love the game as it's very fun, got some great platforming elements (I enjoyed it's platforming way more than uncharted), got some really cool bosses and ultimately tells it's story pretty well (until the ending) even if it is mostly a revenge mission. I'm glad your enjoying it though as it is a great game still.

I didn't really get into it all that much until the second half though, the fight with Hercules really got me interested.

It is EPIC completed it last weekend - best game I've played on the PS3 so far and possibly all consoles....it's exactly what I look for in a console game. Something that is brutal, epic , fast paced and can pick up for 5 mins and enjoy it or, if I have longer, be able to play for an hour and enjoy it.

Had a slight puzzle aspect but nothing drawn out or too frustrating...thought everything about the game was pitched perfectly! Just gutted when it was over lol.

I'm a huge GOW fan, but tbh although there were some epic moments in the game (mainly in the beginning) the majority of the game was just the same mechanic with no real variety. Sure it's good fun but I did get a bit bored during it. In fact I stopped playing for a week to play something fresh, Heavy Rain!
I've played GOW 1/2/PSP *to death* and I haven't really seen any change between those games and 3. GOW2 was amazing on PS2 but I just feel that they haven't really expanded on it.

GOW3 was a bit of a let down for me, don't get me wrong, its an amazing game, just not as good as the first two.

The second one IMO is the best GOW game.

I am stuck in Hades, there is a platform part, and a conveyor belt of fiery urn's, I cannot work out if I need to get to the next platform or...the camera has me confused.

Hope some of you guys can point me in right direction.

Played this today for 30 mins and found it really boring! Just what the hit button over and over and occasionally do a quick puzzle.

I was hoping the fighting would be as immersive as batman arkham but was dissapointed :(
