Are people happy with this card?

What O/C speeds/Temps are people getting with it

I am running a XFXHD5870 at 900/1300 with a Dell 30" 2360x1600 and I need some more power as in some game. I could another HD4870 or HD5970

I am thinking about buying one, maybe crossfire with my current HD5870 or selling that card on and keeping the HD5970

Are people tri-firing this card, what temps are you seen?

Thruth! I hated this card i went from a 5870 1027/1310 to this 59 thinking it was the best thing since... well you get the idea.
If you want the best from this card you have to water cool the pig. I was getting +90c temps at what i thought was low Oc (950/1250)

Anyway yes the card but buy a water block and a rad.

Hi Danny!

Been a while mate. Just wondering if you could advise on the overclocking programs.

1)How have you exceeded the 1000 mark? MSI Afterburner constantly resets my card back to 1000mhz. I've tested 1000/1200 and its fully stable now.

2)Just trying to work out how to increase my memory voltage. I'm pretty sure if i max it out I could run @ 1000/1300 but I dont want to use the XFX Overvolt tool. Is there a tool like MSI that could increase my memory voltage or can MSI do that? I can't seem to find any option to allow me to do it!

3)I've just left my stock voltages at its maximum. Is this advisable? I dont see any harm but I guess I just wanted to be sure!

That was my concern that the temps would be high on the card on air and I would need to water cool the card, not a problem.

But I need to factor the water block into the cost

Well good news I have got BBC2 running between 120-140+fps using these settings and it uses 99% gpu core usage (hence the higher fps ;))

They do look nice :) was going to get one but nonone will see it and dont need the extra perfomance thats offered.

You will have to post some temps with that will be nice to see.
 
Got a XFX ATI Radeon HD 5970 Black Edition coming tomorrow (hopefully) :) Any suggestions on which drivers to load them it in with?, looked at 10.3, 10.3a, Beta 10.4/5 .......first time on the Red team since my XT1950 about 4 years ago....:confused:.

10.3b's with the 10.3a app profiles and the new app profiles.
