After watching loads of them go on the bay for silly money I managed to pick up one today for £175, which is still a little over the odds for a EOL card but hey ho, that's the marketplace for you.

Can't wait to get my hands on it as the step up from the 8800GT should be a fair one.

Main reason for it though if for the CUDA capabilities.

Might just up the quality setting on the racing game though as it would be a crime not to .

Need to source a waterblock now and do some reading about overclocking this card.

Stroll on playtime.

What are you using CUDA for?

Mainly video encoding and some SETI@Home

The new version of Adobe Premier Pro due out next month uses the " Mercury Rendering Engine" which is also CUDA based and it transforms how you work with HD content in PPro. The performance based on the adobe videos on the web is awesome.

It needs a GTX285 or better to work. ;)

mine GTX280 on stock speed still performs great with all NEW games,.. GTX285 is even better ... enjoy new experience, it's step up from 8800 :)

CEX? that place is a joke, its like cash converters but more of a rip-off. more like car-craft actually. The one near me in leeds I went into last year looking for a sound card, the one I wanted was only 10% less than retail. unboxed. I ended up just buying a new one elsewhere. Most of it is probably stolen.
