I don't eat in McD's, not because I'm a food snob (and as I'm healthy eating atm), but because it takes them at least 10 minutes to make me a Big Mac without the sauce. I can cook a 1/2 pounder burger in that time! :(

Well they don't have them sitting around, so someone's gotta get the special order at the back (which probably means they have to finish what they're currently doing first), then it'll sit in the tray for 5 minutes while your cashier talks to the other employees about WWE, until realising and picking it up.

There's a lot of thought there!

I was feeling rather fat one day so I had some massive meal with all the trimmings and in it there was one that said i won another meal like what i just had, and in that was 2 x free burger of some kind tokens... So fat that day.

Yes, not as though we just have every combination of burger dressing laying around, although it should only take about 90 seconds to make one of those if they aren't busy :p

Wonder if there is a way to enter this without making a purchase.
Law must have changed.

3.5 No Purchase Necessary for Northern Ireland Only
If you are eligible and resident in Northern Ireland (but not any other part of the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man), you may obtain a Promotion-label without making any purchase by hand-writing clearly and legibly in block capitals on a piece of plain paper either "Sticker" or "PLAY.COM Voucher" (you may not select both in the same application), your name and address and postcode, before signing and sending it in a properly stamped (franking is not acceptable), handwritten envelope addressed to:-

(FOR A STICKER) - "No Purchase Necessary Sticker Northern Ireland" McDonald's Easy Win Monopoly 2010, Dept 5785 P.O. Box 99, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire HP19 8RR.
or
(FOR A PLAY.COM VOUCHER) - 'No Purchase Necessary PLAY.COM Voucher Northern Ireland, McDonald's Easy Win Monopoly 2010, Dept 5785 P.O. Box 99, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire HP19 8RR. In either case, you must include a properly stamped handwritten self addressed envelope.

EDIT - ooooh interesting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambling_Act_2005

Just been running some rough numbers on this, McDonalds reportedly has 2.5m customer traffic in the UK every day. Let's assume that on average 1 customer gets say 3 stickers, which is half way between buying a large (4 sticker) meal and a medium (2 sticker) meal. The average is probably higher/lower due to the 6 sticker meals, and not knowing how many stickers happy meals give, but I'll go on the safe side. The competition runs for 1 month, and assuming McDonalds don't want the problem of potentially having more than one winner let's say they genuinely do put only x1 500k prize in their entire UK stock. So a rough customer turnover of 75 million in a month, each one has 3 stickers, that's 225 million stickers. Add onto that about 50 million stickers in overstock/damaged stock/lost/stolen, whatever. 275 million stickers.

The lottery odds are about 1 in 14 million, to put these odds in context, suppose one buys one lottery ticket per week. 13,983,816 weeks is roughly 269,000 years; In the quarter-million years of play, one would expect to win the jackpot only once, or if one person bought a ticket every second of every day for one year, one would win the jackpot on average about 2.25 times.

So if you bought 1 large mcdonalds meal you have very roughly a 4 in 275 million chance of winning 500,000. The winning sticker is tens of millions of times more likely to land in a bin.

My friend works at McDonalds and gets like 30-40 tokens after each shift.

We've just been going for the sake of it at lunchtime now, got £20 worth of stuff on Monday and around £35 Tuesday.

Fat ******* :D

Between 4 of us on Tuesday we must have had;

4 Apple pies
7 Sundaes
3 Big Macs
2 Cheeseburgers
3 Sugar donuts
2-3 Hot chocolates

>.<

Some other stuff as well, I just can't say no to a free caramel sundae... :D

Luckily I never seem to put on weight and I am built like a rake so me eating loads of stuff is nothing but a good thing, even if it is McDonalds. :D
