Basically this month my gym starts making monthly challenges which i think is a great idea. Anyway i had ago this is what i had to do:

750m on rower at level 10
3k on bike change gears how you like
over head barbell press 25kg 30reps (woman 20kg)
30 situps
bench press 22kg 30 reps (17kg woman)
500m on running machine

I found it really hard as i havent done any proper cardio since early last year, the only cardio i do is 10 mins warmup on the crosstrainer which is nothing.
So far 6 people have taken part, two of them couldnt finish it.
Anyway i done it in 13m16s which so far makes me 3rd, but that could change as its still early days yet, people could still beat me.
Ive been told you can have as many go's as you want, so im gonna have one more go in 2 weeks today. I really want to be 1st:p but to do that i got to beat my time by 31 seconds:eek:

They have a big poster on the wall at my gym with a very similar set of challenges. In fact I think it's exactly the same but using the machines for OH press and bench.

It has 3 different levels as well, bronze, silver and gold where the weights/distances vary accordingly. Doesn't change each month though. Suppose changing regularly is a good thing and will keep people interested.

I would try it but I know my time would be rubbish as I do no cardio at all :D

In our place the challenges are made by the users :D Current challenge 540lbs on a hammer shoulder press. All good motivational stuff regardless of where it comes from ;)

That doesn't seem too hard if you have been training for a while?

750m on rower at level 10 - Will get abit of a sweat on but it will be over in...;4 minutes?
3k on bike change gears how you like - Shouldn't take too long
over head barbell press 25kg 30reps (woman 20kg) - Not sure on this one
30 situps - I can do 30 in about 35 seconds
bench press 22kg 30 reps (17kg woman) - If thats 22kb each dumbell then I won't be able to do it, if its a combined weight of 22KG then easy!
500m on running machine - 500m sprinting, not sure how long this will take, about 2 minutes?

I know that, its just that it has an overhead press with more weight than the bench!

[Sad-case]Ah, but tris and anterior delts are prefatigued from the military press [/Sad-case]

Great idea, easy challenge, you big wuss :p

Ant

That seems like a very easy challenge to be setting for gym goers :p. Still, if it motivates more people it can only be a good thing.
