Waiting for my current MP to respond to my email for 5 days now... Why do they put stuff through the door saying to contact them with any queries and then not respond?

You really do have a thoroughly unpleasant way of thinking that clearly requires that the individual has absolutely no rights to anything at all. I think I understand why you have absolutely no issue with the culture of state dependency, it's your preferred model for everyone. It's been tried, it doesn't work.

agree - i despair at the number of people who think this way.
i think labour encourages it - far from narrowing the gap between rich and poor, they increase it. far from giving people the opportunities to get themselves out of poverty, they effectively pay people to remain in it. labours attitude is a negative one - 'you won't amount to anything and you don't need to, we will tax the hard workers to pay for your unfortunate situation' (thus keeping you chained to poverty).

and before you ask, like mad rapper i am also from a poor working class background who has worked hard to get where i am today.

If you wrote a letter that was basically fishing for a fight they won't bother responding as they know they have no chance of influencing your vote, and will just be wasting their valuable time by kicking off a long fruitless discussion with you..

. Give MORE to the genuine and boot camp the rest of them.

All parties hate the scroungers.

The fundermental issue is no-one knows which are the genuine claiments and which ones to boot camp.

Any formulaic way humanuity has come up with of trying to figure it out leads to incorrect people being sent to boot-camp/recieving benefits. The tories don't care about 'collateral damage' when reducing benefits using problematic formula to decide who the dossers are. Labour do. That's the difference you're voting for..

For the second time, all parties HATE the scroungers. Debate the issue, not the daily mail headline.

I wrote asking her position on various civil liberties and taxation questions, as the information wasn't available in any of the leaflets pushed through our door.

I won't be at all surprised if I hear nothing back, Alison Seabeck is not exactly known for being a good MP, just one in a safe seat.

Labour will do much better than the poll suggests too.
Doubt it - and so do Labour top brass. There is also little way to tell with the boundary changes.

The current 'shy Tory' compensation in polls isn't enough, according to history. They assume 50% of the 'undecideds' will vote for the same party as the election before. This has not been exactly the case in 1997, 2001 or 2005.

I was talking about the poll on this thread. For Labour to get only 12%, while incredibly amusing, would be nothing short of a political earthquake.

Yes the poll on this thread is extremely unlikely to occur in real life.

Labour's 11.88% seems the most wacky figure, although the BNP figure is also dissapointing..

I can only think it's because of the demographic that uses this forum.

I can only hope labour get 11% but if the BNP get 7% after throwing up I'm changing my nationality and will totally dissociate from GBR.

The lib dems manifesto is out, and it's confirmed I'm definitely not voting for them.

they seem to have completely forgotten what Liberal actually means, or that it's part of their name.

Dolph from your postings I'd suggest the best way for you to proceed would be to move to a small well hidden log cabin in Alaska about 26 miles away from the nearest town, and just go in to town to buy supplies once every 3 months, the rest of the time being on your own building a bunker and buying 350,000 rounds of ammo and 16 rifles ready to resist the evil government (read 'new world order') when they inevitiably come for you. :D

I guess you can't actually argue against the point I raised then, given that you've instead gone for an insulting and irrelevant strawman that has nothing to do with my actual position.

It's not insulting. I thought it was kinda' cool.

Ironically in the states it is actually an insult to call someone a 'Liberal' you know? Or more commonly over there a 'bleeding heart liberal'. Very bizarre considering their countries foundations ..

Or perhaps they realise that people just don't want true liberalism as they rightly see that it would make their lives a living hell.
