Think Iv did all I could but thought id run it by here

Sold a game on ebay. Paid on the 6th April. I posted first class recorded on the 7th and gave him the tracking number

He mails me the other day saying he hasnt got it. Royal mail website states its still out for delivery

I fully explained in a message to him it was sent and I have proof of postage etc. Also that royal mail wont consider an item lost until 15 working days from the due date of delivery, which in this case would be the 29th April

I told him I would give him a full refund on the 29th as I can then claim my money back

Never heard from him for 2 days then he raises a paypal dispute saying that I wont give him his money back till after a month. So annoying as I bloody explained to him the situation and that I cant help it if the stupid royal mail dont deliver.

I told him Im not giving him a refund just now as it may come tomorrow then he has his money and my game. and that he should contact his local sorting office meantime

I have over 200 feedback of 100% positive, im hardly out to scam him.
Have I done all I can for now or is there anything else?

Nope that's pretty much standard and Paypal/Ebay know that mate. My wife has had this sort of thing a few times now with Ebay buyers, I can understand their frustration but ultimately they can see it has been sent. Not much you can do now except fight your corner with Paypal.

just calmly explain your side on the dispute to paypal and state your willing to give a refund once the 15 days have run, really he can see himself on the royal fails site what date it was sent and that they have it in transit, really its out of your hands he SHOULD understand that or at least i would

yeah have done all of the above. Hes not happy as he wants the game now or his money back now. Which isnt going to happen. If it does get delivered he will probably want to send it back anyway.

Was originally meant to send first class non recoreded. But he took a week to pay. and after a few days sent me a message asking if it had been sent yet. Which I bluntly told him no as he hasnt paid

That got me suspicious of him so decided to do it recorded, but no hes still being akward. Have a sneaky suspicion he has got it but somehow didnt sign for it

Iv sold over 200 items on ebay and royal mail havent failed me once
Ah well

yep i deffo would not give a refund until 15 days has passed and you can claim from royal mail

Just keep it up you'll be right.

Can understand him been unhappy but your following the protocols so dont worry.

I had some twit who recently bought a game off me for £10. She claimed that the disc was faulty. I tried to do some diagnostics with her, but still fail. The bint didn't even know which version of Windows she was on. I simply told her to send it back to me. She did and I refunded her. The game arrived back at my house, and hey presto, it worked on my 2 machines. I then relisted the game. A different eBayer won it and she gave me good feedback. 'Twas a shame I only got £5 for it second time round *mad*.

Moral of the story - no matter how hard you try, the buyer is always 'right'.

I'm afraid its up to u to chase the parcel. The contract is between you and postman pat, not the ebayer buyer.

And it can become unfair this way and he WILL win the dispute.

I dont see why I should give him a refund just now. Then he gets the game in a few days as it was somehow running late. Then he has his money and my game

Then left to me to try get my money back. Doesnt seem fair

Nope. 4 Days with paypal.

Was 7 days after I attempted to sell my PS3 last year. Plonker refused to pay and didn't send a single e-mail, only communication I got from the idiot was 2 days after filing a dispute. Granted this was in the states so it might indeed be different.
