Well like I say I think the damage is right where it should be and at close range 7-8 people with a clip is very realistic.
when talking about the kick back, as soon as you have the steady aim on it, then I agree it's stupidly easy to kill people from almost any range! It may well get patched eventually though.
I can honestly say being killed by an M60 has never made me rage though. The thing that annoys me most is the amount of snipers, 90% of who are ****ing awful and don't help in any way! YAY attacking recon.... >_<
I disagree, at close range in hip-fire you should get destroyed by other weapons easily since its kickback should be huge, meaning an SMG or Assault would easily be superior for killing. But this was mid-longish range, all using the 4x Scope and it gets no worse at long-extreme range. I really wouldn't be surprised if people have made M60 scripts to fire single shots at the absolute highest speed that gives perfect accuracy.
PP2000 is an awesome gun![]()
The MG36 is a good example of what a LMG should be like, they should adjust the M60 near to it's level.
This, m60 noobs eat your heart out, by the time you get 1 bullet off 10 bullets are flying towards you head. Amazing gun, got platinum on it and no other engineer gun compares, aku aint bad tho.
Yep, Carlos hathcock and his scoped M2 Browning machine gun, possibly the largest sniper rifle ever. You know machine guns are actually pretty damn accurate at range right?![]()
maybe you just shouldnt be able to move while using the m60, i could deal with that i think

Well obviously, but the gun needs some balance and the accuracy is just too high for its damage.
By theway, for anyone having loading issues with an ATI cards, there's a new set of 10.5 betas just been posted in the GPU forums which apparently have helped several of the guys a LOT with the loading times.
Thought I'd mention it here because its directly relevant to BC2 ATI users, or some of them!
Oh well, i still think it was a terrible decision to give LMGs to Medics. Giving them to Engineers as the 'heavy weapons dude' and making them choose between all kit gear and RPGs or LMGs and C4 (and maybe AT Mines) would've been a huge improvement. At least that way Medic would be an actual support class with value to the team, not a point whore class.
