HTC Desire SMS Notifications

Ok so I got my Desire from orange, love it. However...one thing drives me mad....

I turned on sent message notifications (shows notification in status bar when messages are set) just because I like the idea. However, when I sent a text it does not only notify me once but does so twice. It doesn’t display in the notification twice, it only has the one entry, but it does make the notification noise/vibrate twice. Also if I delete/clear the notification before it notifies me the second time the notification does re-appear.

Anyone else experience this?!

Do you have a third party message app?

Erm...nope, its just the 'Messages' one I havn't put any app's on it yet.

Dont forget orange charges per text received notification when on contract. 1p or 0.5p each iirc, making 1000 sent texts cost you £10/£5

It's not a delivery report I have on, its just a sucessful message sent alert. Part of the phone not the service....I hope and think

Surely its better for it just tell you when the message doesn't send?
