ATI + 9800GT Physx

hey all

I have looked all over the place and i cant fix my issue

I have carryed out the Guides on the internet and still showing software Physx only in Fluidmark

Anyone got it working here?

If so please telll meee

I have it working with 2 5870s and a 9800gt

I have it working with a 5850 and a 9800gtx+ too.

I HAD it working with 5870CF and an 8800GT but wasnt worth the additional heat

Personally I just followed THIS and it worked a treat

yes thats what i did... But the 1.01 patch wasnt there just 1.02 and also im useing 10.3 cats and latest Nvidia drivers...

WHat drivers are you useing with your cards?

10.1 wouldn;t work for me even thoug I was using 173.46 nvidia drivers. It kept saying file in use.

I ended up using 1.02 patch in safe mode to get it to work

Very easy to do, I use 5870 and 9800.
To get it to work with new 197 drivers installed, restart in safe mode, applythe GenL mod first.
Restart ( do not enable physx yet) then apply the containforum’s fix 1.01. (if it has been removed, get it from here

no.

i had it working when i was interchanging my cards, from old GTX260 to new 5870. using 10.3 and 196.34 drivers.

might buy a GT320/GT240/9600GT when Mafia 2 is released though, PhysX in that looks awesome.

I did get it working.

BUT as soon as i enable eyefinity its stoped again

OMG i did it!

I kept enableing and disableing the 4th monitor and kept going at it and finnaly the 4th monitor on the 9800GT is off, and eyefinity on with bezel managment and i have Hardware Physx!"""W WOOT

Now all i need is a passive gpu cooler that can handle a 9800GT

Yes.
It all goes down to personal choice imo. We spend hundreds of £'s (for me it's Asus 5870 and Zotac 9800gt green) to get the 'best' looking games so if you want the 'best' then that includes physx too.

There is far too much bashing

between the reds and the greens imo!

Bad issue

I have it all working but when i try and play a game it auto runs on the monitor where my 9800GT is plugged into... = its useing the 9800GT for rendering....

mero 2033 Physx works fine on my 9800GT and my 5970 renders.

But on justcause two it uses my 9800 as the main card.. i dont have a clue why though...

Did you disable the monitor that the 9800 is attached to?
