Can a retail game be integrated into Steam?
I have GTA4 and others, can i use steam to play/ update my games by entering the serials?

Best bet with something like this is to wait for a big Steam sale, then re-buy all the games on Steam and sell the games on the MM (or similar).

That's what I ended up doing, I had two shelves of games and i'm down to about three quarters of one.

The closest thing you can do is the 'add non-steam game to list' option, which means you can launch the game though Steam, and I'm pretty sure that lets you use the Steam overlay. It won't update the game, and won't do steam achievements or anything like that though.

It'll never happen but I'd probably pay to do this. I've loads of games that i've bought in shops or been given to me but would love to just be able to add them in so I could download them from Steam.
